In the begining

Welcome to my web log or blog as it is known in the common parlance, This site has been created for up to date news of whats happening here at Areley in north Wales . This my is my second blog the other being a family history site for the shrobree folks. Shrosblog my interest in all things historical and in Roman history in particular which gives rise to my nick name 'Roman Geezer' [this being slang for 'bloke' or fellow if you are posh ] since I already have a google blog and gmail account I have to go with the flow and utilise the name hence the sign in name. Areley being the name of our abode.

We have just returned from a trip to Cornwall, where we holidayed with Gary,Jose and Douglas . the trip was long [12 hours ] thanks to the traffic and the weather was 'unkind 'not bad but pour enough to deter one from sunbathing ! we stayed in a very nice renovated farm house near Penryn [ Falmouth] we manged to get to the beach and the 'Kids ' had bit of fun body boarding.

On our Return trip we stopped at brother Bobs house in Timberscombe , Minehead. Where had a chance to catch up with our families
